BIWEEKLY REFLECTION - phase 1

School : New Higher Secondary School Nellimoodu 

Class : IX G

The first two weeks of teaching practice.The most excited and tensed days. My guide is Mr. Roy Jose sir. I got the class IX. G. There are 50 students in my class. I started the class with the chapter Irrational Multiplication. I prepared the topics and took the classes.In these days we are allotted to conducted a quiz competition on the auditorium. Me and colleagues had conducted the competition according to the instruction we got.Also we were allotted do the evening discipline duty. We can do this as well.I enjoyed my teaching practice even in this two weeks.

 Innovation can be defined simply as a " new idea, device or method". Innovation work helps  a teacher to teach a lesson easily.As part of B. Ed curriculum in teaching practice phase - I, I had to do an innovative work, the present innovative work is based on the 9th standard chapter 'Real numbers '. This is a way to remember the definition of real numbers. It helps the children to avoid rote memorization.  This innovative work presents a 'Real number Box' model to help students easily remember the different set of real numbers with examples. For the execution of this innovative work I reached 9.G class on the fourth period on 7 November 2024 of my first phase teaching practice. BIWEEKLY REFLECTION - Phase 1

  21 October 2024 - 2 November 2024 School : New Higher Secondary School Nellimoodu  Class : IX-G Teaching practice now came to the middle of the 40 days. These two weeks makes us complete the 25 days of teaching practice.Around the last week District level Shasthrolsavam was held in our school. We were given some duties. On the first day I got the duty on Mathematics Still model H S S Section. And the second day I had duty on the products making pine leaves that is on the working model section. On the third day was the ending day. I was able to perform my duties well everday.It was actually a different experience. After the Shasthrolsavam we had to taken extra period to compensate the leaves got by the students.November 2, even the Saturday was working day.These week also help me understand my teaching and the improvements I need.

18 November 2024 - 22 November 2024 School : New Higher Secondary School Nellimoodu. Class : IX - G The last five days of teaching practice.The excitement and tension in the first few weeks now turned into responsibilities and qualities.This week I completed the last chapter given for me named Polynomials.I used constructivist model and inquiry training model to taught them. On changing the teaching methods we can drawn the attention of students. I was able to change the way I teach a lot. In these days also I conducted yoga and health education classes in the students of IX-G.I was able to take the class very well.This week midterm exams were conducted in school. So we, the student teachers were given duties on classes to conducted the examination. This week makes me more responsible. My teaching practice ended up beautifully.After my last class I given them sweets and asked for feedback.I am self satisfied with my classes. I was able to make a lot of progress in my teaching practice....
