INNOVATIVE WORK - PHASE 2

 As part of B. ed Curriculum, I had to do an innovative work. The present innovative work is based on the chapter polynomial pictures in the 9th standard. I named it as a coordinate geometry. This is an easy to remember how to draw a graph according to the number signs and direction which it taken. It helps the children to avoid rote memorization.

Innovative work is crucial for B.Ed students because it equips them with the skills to develop engaging and effective teaching methods, adapt to diverse learners, foster critical thinking in students, and ultimately prepare them to be successful educators in a rapidly changing educational landscape, where traditional teaching methods may not be sufficient to meet modern needs. 

For the execution of innovative work I reached the IX. G class on the 3rd period of 17 th January 2025 of my second phase teaching practice.First I just introduced about the coordinate geometry and explain the working of the model.And I also grouped the students and shown my innovative work on each groups and explain that concept.Through my innovative work it help the students to understand the coordinate geometry easily. It helps the students that the concept is understand by learning by doing and to make them create a long term memory.

Innovation work helps a teacher to teach a lesson easily. The role of innovation work is very important in any subject. As part of B. Ed curriculum, related to teaching practice we have to develop an innovative work.

BIWEEKLY REFLECTION - Phase 1

  21 October 2024 - 2 November 2024 School : New Higher Secondary School Nellimoodu  Class : IX-G Teaching practice now came to the middle of the 40 days. These two weeks makes us complete the 25 days of teaching practice.Around the last week District level Shasthrolsavam was held in our school. We were given some duties. On the first day I got the duty on Mathematics Still model H S S Section. And the second day I had duty on the products making pine leaves that is on the working model section. On the third day was the ending day. I was able to perform my duties well everday.It was actually a different experience. After the Shasthrolsavam we had to taken extra period to compensate the leaves got by the students.November 2, even the Saturday was working day.These week also help me understand my teaching and the improvements I need.

BIWEEKLY REFLECTION - phase 1

18 November 2024 - 22 November 2024 School : New Higher Secondary School Nellimoodu. Class : IX - G The last five days of teaching practice.The excitement and tension in the first few weeks now turned into responsibilities and qualities.This week I completed the last chapter given for me named Polynomials.I used constructivist model and inquiry training model to taught them. On changing the teaching methods we can drawn the attention of students. I was able to change the way I teach a lot. In these days also I conducted yoga and health education classes in the students of IX-G.I was able to take the class very well.This week midterm exams were conducted in school. So we, the student teachers were given duties on classes to conducted the examination. This week makes me more responsible. My teaching practice ended up beautifully.After my last class I given them sweets and asked for feedback.I am self satisfied with my classes. I was able to make a lot of progress in my teaching practice....
